Welcome from the Department Head

The Department of Engineering Technology & Computer Information Systems in the business of graduating problem solvers and decision makers for local, regional and national industry.  The two areas (Engineering Technology and Computer Information Systems) are designated a Areas of Excellence by the Louisiana Board of Regents.

Engineering Technology prepares Electronics Engineering Technologists and Industrial Engineering Technologists for entry into the high technology job market of tomorrow where Technologists work closely with engineers to design, install, and maintain the complex systems used in industry today.

Computer Information Systems (CIS) prepares Information Systems Professionals for entry into the cutting-edge systems arena that supports industry's data needs.
